ContentPilot ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered content automation tool that helps creators generate scripts, thumbnails, and SEO metadata, and publish videos to platforms such as YouTube. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

• Account information: your name and email address when you sign up.
• Connected platform data: if you connect your YouTube (or other platform) account, we access information such as your channel name, channel ID, subscriber count, profile thumbnail, and recent view analytics, solely to display this information back to you and to publish content on your behalf when you choose to do so.
• Content you create: scripts, thumbnails, video metadata, and other content you generate or upload using ContentPilot.
• Usage data: basic information about how you use the app, to help us improve it and manage subscription limits.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the core features of ContentPilot, including AI content generation, thumbnail creation, and publishing to connected platforms.
• To display your own channel statistics (such as subscriber counts and views) back to you within the app.
• To manage your account, subscription, and usage limits.
• To communicate with you about your account or important service updates.

3. Google API Services

ContentPilot's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

• We request access to your YouTube channel data (via the YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API) only to provide features you directly use, such as displaying your channel statistics and publishing videos you choose to upload.
• We do not use data obtained through Google APIs for advertising purposes.
• We do not sell or transfer Google user data to third parties, except as necessary to provide the features of ContentPilot (e.g. uploading a video you've created to your own YouTube channel) or as required by law.
• We do not allow humans to read this data except where necessary for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or with your consent.

4. Data Storage and Security

Access tokens and refresh tokens used to connect your accounts are stored securely and are only used to make API requests on your behalf. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account information and connected platform tokens for as long as your account is active. You may disconnect your YouTube (or other platform) account at any time from within the app, which revokes our access to your data. You may also request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us using the details below.

6. Third-Party Services

ContentPilot uses third-party AI services (such as Anthropic's Claude and ElevenLabs) to generate content on your behalf. Content you submit for generation (such as topics or scripts) may be processed by these services in accordance with their own privacy policies.

7. Children's Privacy

ContentPilot is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of ContentPilot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
